How to Safely Receive a TikTok Account

Introduction

On TikTok, there is a risk where the seller may still retain control over the Passkey, allowing them to potentially reclaim the account.
Based on our research, each TikTok account can have only one unique Passkey. Typically, buyers are unable to add or replace a Passkey. Therefore, please refer to this guide to ensure the safest process for receiving a TikTok account.

Step 1

The buyer needs to create a new Bitwarden account, which is a password manager application that helps manage your passkey securely.

Step 2

The buyer sends the Bitwarden account username and password to the seller.

Step 3

Both the seller and the buyer need to install Bitwarden on their phones.

Step 4

Both buyer and seller activate the Bitwarden passkey feature on the phone.

- On iPhone:
To activate keyboard autofill on iOS for passwords and enable the slide-up menu for passkey autofill:

Open Settings > General on your device.

Tap AutoFill & Passwords.

Toggle on AutoFill Passwords and Passkeys, then select Bitwarden in the AUTOFILL FROM list.

Step 5

The seller logs in to the Bitwarden account provided by the buyer.
- The seller creates a new login item in Bitwarden, including the account Name, Username, and Password.
- Click Save.

Step 6

The seller logs in to the TikTok account that is being sold using the TikTok app.
Navigate to Settings and privacy > Account > Passkey.
Click Set up.
When prompted where to save the passkey, select Bitwarden and choose the TikTok account you just created in Bitwarden.

If the passkey is created successfully, TikTok will display a Passkey creation successful message.

Step 7

The seller notifies the buyer that the passkey has been successfully created.

Step 8

The buyer logs in to the TikTok account. A popup will appear on the phone to log in using the passkey.

If you do not see the Passkey or the TikTok account in Bitwarden, please be patient and wait for a moment. Alternatively, try logging out of Bitwarden and reopening it, as Bitwarden sometimes experiences a slight delay in updating data.

Step 9

The buyer now can change the account email, password, and enable 2FA security.

Step 10

The buyer changes the Bitwarden account password and adds 2FA security to the Bitwarden account.

Step 11

Once all the changes are complete, the buyer logs out of the TikTok account and logs back in using the passkey one final time.
- If the login works, the buyer can mark the order as completed.

At this point, the seller can no longer access the TikTok account.
